Organic Baby Clothes BARNARDSVILLE
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 13-04-2010
Before I had my baby, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.
I usually go out with 4 other women, once a month, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Sheena's Restaurant (which is in BARNARDSVILLE, NC) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was really exciting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
You can buy beautiful organic baby clothes online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Purchasing organic produce means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to adolescents. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
