Long before I had my baby, I never believed I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the latest baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually go out with 2 other women, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Dairy Queen-Ballinger (which is in BALLINGER, TX) as that is fairly central for all of us. Buying organic produce means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
