Organic Baby Clothes ASOTIN

Back before I had my first child, I had not believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the latest baby outfits we have bought.

I usually get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Checkers Cafe (which is in ASOTIN, WA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening as we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from the beginning but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and particularly water bodies. Organic cotton is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find stores completely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
