Organic Baby Clothes ASHLAND

Before I had my first child, I never thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the newest baby outfits we have purchased.

I more often than not go out with 4 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest new. We usually meet at Hawleys C-Store (which is in ASHLAND, OH) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting seeing we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and particularly water ways. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

You can get soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or less use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find companies completely committed to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
