Back before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to talk about the latest baby clothes we have bought.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies solely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
