Organic Baby Clothes ANN ARBOR

Long before I had my first child, I never believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.

I usually get together with 4 other women, once a fortnight, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Red Roof Inn Ann Arbor (University South (which is in ANN ARBOR, MI) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was more exciting because we chatted about baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

You can purchase beautiful organic baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find companies solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
