Organic Baby Clothes ALLENTOWN

Back before I had my baby, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually meet with 3 other women, once a week, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at Charley's Steakery (which is in ALLENTOWN, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was particularly eye opening because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic produce is produced without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic produce means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find companies entirely devoted to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
