Baby Clothes WOODLAND

Back before I had my children, I never really believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby fashions we have purchased.

I generally get together with 2 other women, once a month, to find out the latest new. We usually meet at Steve's Place Pizza Pasta & Grill (which is in WOODLAND, CA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was particularly interesting because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby organic produce from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the US and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and particularly water bodies. Organic produce is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

You can purchase beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find retailers completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
