Baby Clothes WHIPPANY

Long before I had my children, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the newest baby outfits we have purchased.
I more often than not get together with 4 other women, once a week, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at Capriccio Ristorante (which is in WHIPPANY, NJ) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was more interesting because we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic food from the start but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in the US and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and particularly water bodies. Organic produce is grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers solely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
