Baby Clothes WATERBURY
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 27-04-2009
Long before I had my baby, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to discuss the most recent baby clothes we have bought.
I generally go out with 2 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Adrian's Pizza (which is in WATERBURY, CT) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined the environment and in particular water bodies. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
You can get soft organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Purchasing organic products means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Several retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find companies entirely devoted to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
