Baby Clothes WARREN

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 14-05-2008

Before I had my baby, I had not believed I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to discuss the newest baby clothes we have purchased.

I generally go out with 2 other women, once a month, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Jets Pizza (which is in WARREN, MI) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was particularly eye opening because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and particularly water bodies. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
