Baby Clothes VALLEY

Before I had my first child, I never thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.
I more often than not get together with 2 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest new. We often meet at Chucks Bar-B-Q (which is in VALLEY, AL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening as we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic produce from day one but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water ways. Organic cotton is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic products means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find retailers completely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
