Baby Clothes TAMPA
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 26-11-2008
Long before I had my baby, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to chat about the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I generally go out with 3 other women, once a week, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Ruenthai Cuisine (which is in TAMPA, FL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was particularly eye opening as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the US and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and especially water supplies. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.
You can get beautiful organic baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic produce means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find retailers entirely devoted to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
