Baby Clothes SUGARCREEK
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 13-10-2009
Before I had my children, I never really imagined I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the newest baby clothes we have bought.
I more often than not meet with 3 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Dutch Valley Restaurant (which is in SUGARCREEK, OH) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening as we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular crops in America and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
You can buy organic baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic clothing means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers completely committed to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
