Baby Clothes STAMFORD

Back before I had my baby, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the newest baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually meet with 3 other women, once a week, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Viva Mexico Restaurant (which is in STAMFORD, CT) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening seeing we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic produce from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and especially water ways. Organic produce is produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic products means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find companies solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
