Before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, chatting to other parents about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. Getting organic products means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
