Baby Clothes SOMERSET

Long before I had my baby, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the most recent baby outfits we have bought.
I more often than not get together with 3 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at Debi's Cafe (which is in SOMERSET, IN) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening because we talked about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic produce from day one but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the US and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and especially water ways. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Many retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find stores completely committed to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
