Baby Clothes SOMERDALE

Before I had my children, I had not imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to chat about the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I more often than not go out with 3 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest new. We usually meet at Pizza Pronto Cafe (which is in SOMERDALE, NJ) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was really interesting seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic produce from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic products are grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothes means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Several producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find companies completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
