Baby Clothes SILVERTON

Back before I had my children, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mother, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually get together with 2 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Handlebars Restaurant & Saloon (which is in SILVERTON, CO) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting as we chatted about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic food from the beginning but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has damaged habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic produce is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic products means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find shops solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
