Baby Clothes SHERMAN OAKS
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 22-10-2009
Back before I had my children, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to chat about the latest baby clothes we have purchased.
I usually get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We generally meet at Mogo's Restaurant (which is in SHERMAN OAKS, CA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic meals from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
You can get beautiful organic baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find shops entirely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
