Baby Clothes SEVERNA PARK
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 05-02-2010
Before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have bought.
I generally get together with 4 other mothers, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest happenings. We generally meet at Smokin Tonys Pit Stop (which is in SEVERNA PARK, MD) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
You can buy soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find companies solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I would not go as far to say that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
