Baby Clothes SELMA

Back before I had my children, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, chatting to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby outfits we have bought.
I usually meet with 3 other women, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at Johnnie's Cafe (which is in SELMA, AL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was more exciting seeing we chatted about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged habitats and especially water ways. Organic products are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic produce means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find companies completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
