Baby Clothes SEATTLE

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 04-11-2008

Before I had my baby, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the latest baby clothes we have bought.

I usually get together with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest happenings. We generally meet at Mr Gyros (which is in SEATTLE, WA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was more eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby organic produce from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in America and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has ruined the environment and especially water ways. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can buy beautiful organic baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothing means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers entirely devoted to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
