Before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby clothes we have purchased.

I usually get together with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find companies completely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
