Baby Clothes SAN FRANCISCO

Before I had my first child, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have purchased.
I generally meet with 4 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We usually meet at Roccos Seafood Grill (which is in SAN FRANCISCO, CA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was particularly eye opening because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the US and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has destroyed habitats and especially water bodies. Organic produce is grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Purchasing organic products means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers solely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
