Baby Clothes SAINT LOUIS

Long before I had my children, I had not believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby clothes we have purchased.
I more often than not get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We usually meet at Schnuck's Supermarkets - Chef's Express (which is in SAINT LOUIS, MO) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from day one but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and in particular water ways. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic produce means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
Many wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find companies completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
