Baby Clothes SAINT LOUIS

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 27-08-2008

Back before I had my baby, I never really believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually meet with 2 other women, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. We generally meet at Grone Cafeteria (which is in SAINT LOUIS, MO) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was really exciting because we talked about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from these farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can get soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothes means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to older children. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
