Before I had my first child, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. Purchasing organic produce means you are getting produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find designers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
