Baby Clothes ROLLING MEADOWS

Long before I had my baby, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to chat about the latest baby fashions we have picked up.

I generally get together with 4 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We often meet at No 1 Chop Suey Restaurant (which is in ROLLING MEADOWS, IL) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly eye opening because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined the environment and particularly water ways. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can purchase organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find shops completely devoted to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
