Baby Clothes ROCKVILLE CENTRE

Before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.
I generally get together with 2 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest gossip. We generally meet at Da UGO (which is in ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more interesting seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from day one but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic produce means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find companies entirely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
