Back before I had my baby, I never really believed I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. Getting organic produce means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
