Baby Clothes RENO

Long before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the newest baby outfits we have picked up.

I usually go out with 2 other mothers, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We generally meet at Pizza by Piece of the Pie (which is in RENO, NV) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was particularly exciting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and particularly water bodies. Organic produce is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find shops entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
