Baby Clothes RAPID RIVER

Back before I had my children, I never really thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby outfits we have picked up.

I generally get together with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. We generally meet at Jack's Restaurant (which is in RAPID RIVER, MI) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening as we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and in particular water ways. Organic products are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic products means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to teenagers. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
