Baby Clothes PROVIDENCE
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 16-06-2008
Back before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have purchased.
I more often than not meet with 4 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We generally meet at Jade Island Restaurant (which is in PROVIDENCE, RI) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was particularly exciting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from these farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic products are made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
You can get organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Purchasing organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find shops entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
