Baby Clothes POINT PLEASANT BEACH
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 10-06-2009
Long before I had my first child, I never really believed I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am a mother, talking to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to discuss the most recent baby clothes we have bought.
I more often than not meet with 3 other parents, once a week, to catch up on the latest new. We generally meet at Spike's Fish MKT & Restaurant (which is in POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was really interesting seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from day one but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
You can purchase soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find companies completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
