Baby Clothes PETOSKEY

Back before I had my baby, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to talk about the latest baby fashions we have bought.
I generally meet with 3 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Jesperson's Restaurant (which is in PETOSKEY, MI) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, less cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find shops entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
