Long before I had my children, I never thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. No or less use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to adolescents. I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
