Baby Clothes PERHAM

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 17-12-2009

Long before I had my first child, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the latest baby clothes we have picked up.

I more often than not go out with 2 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We often meet at Colonial Food & Spirits (which is in PERHAM, MN) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was really interesting seeing we discussed baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from day one but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water ways. Organic products are produced without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

You can purchase organic baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic clothing means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find companies completely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to older children. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
