Long before I had my first child, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
