Long before I had my children, I never believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the most recent baby clothes we have bought.

I generally get together with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find designers solely committed to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
