Baby Clothes ORANGEBURG

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 24-04-2010

Back before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to discuss the most recent baby clothes we have bought.

I usually get together with 3 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We usually meet at Subway of North Road Plaza (which is in ORANGEBURG, SC) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was particularly interesting because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic produce from the start but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can get organic baby clothes online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic produce means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find companies entirely committed to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
