Baby Clothes ONTARIO

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 10-12-2008

Long before I had my baby, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to talk about the most recent baby clothes we have purchased.

I usually meet with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Double OR Nothin Pizza (which is in ONTARIO, CA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was really interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

You can purchase organic baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find stores solely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
