Before I had my first child, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the newest baby fashions we have purchased.
I generally meet with 4 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at Dairy Creme (which is in NEW SHARON, IA) as that is pretty central for all of us. I have been giving my baby organic food from the beginning but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and in particular water supplies. Organic products are grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
