Baby Clothes MONCKS CORNER

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 18-03-2009

Long before I had my children, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to chat about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.

I generally meet with 2 other women, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Classics Grill & Nitelife (which is in MONCKS CORNER, SC) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening as we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic food from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged the environment and in particular water bodies. Organic produce is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

You can purchase organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find companies completely committed to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
