Baby Clothes MINNEAPOLIS

Before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the newest baby clothes we have picked up.

I generally meet with 2 other mothers, once a month, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Vincent (which is in MINNEAPOLIS, MN) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby organic meals from the start but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can get organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, fewer health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find designers entirely devoted to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
