Baby Clothes MILLBROOK

Long before I had my baby, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, talking to other mothers about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby clothes we have picked up.
I generally meet with 3 other women, once a month, to catch up on the latest happenings. We usually meet at Rockys Apollo Pizzeria (which is in MILLBROOK, NY) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and especially water ways. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Purchasing organic products means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, fewer diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers solely devoted to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
