Baby Clothes MARYVILLE
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 08-10-2008
Back before I had my first child, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, talking to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the latest baby fashions we have bought.
I more often than not go out with 3 other women, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Lowells Place (which is in MARYVILLE, TN) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more interesting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby organic meals from the start but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
You can get organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Purchasing organic produce means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers entirely devoted to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
