Baby Clothes MANITOU SPRINGS

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 06-03-2009

Long before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a new mother, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby outfits we have picked up.

I more often than not go out with 2 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest new. We usually meet at China China Restaurant (which is in MANITOU SPRINGS, CO) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting as we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic food from the start but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and especially water supplies. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

You can purchase soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic products means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find stores entirely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to older children. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
