Baby Clothes MALVERN
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 11-09-2008
Long before I had my first child, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to discuss the latest baby clothes we have bought.
I usually meet with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest new. We often meet at Maddie's Restaurant Bar & Hotel (which is in MALVERN, PA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was particularly eye opening seeing we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic produce from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and particularly water bodies. Organic produce is grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
You can purchase organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic products means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find stores entirely committed to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
