Baby Clothes LOUISVILLE
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 03-08-2009
Back before I had my baby, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.
I more often than not go out with 4 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We often meet at Wonton Express (which is in LOUISVILLE, KY) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more interesting seeing we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby organic food from day one but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farmers. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
You can get beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find stores solely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I would not go as far to say that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
