Baby Clothes LONG BEACH

Long before I had my first child, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to discuss the latest baby outfits we have bought.
I usually meet with 3 other women, once a month, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Casa Sanchez (which is in LONG BEACH, CA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was more exciting as we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic meals from day one but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined habitats and particularly water bodies. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic clothes means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and rivers, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find designers completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
